 CBIC notified instructions regarding air travel ticket booking on Government accounts as per the latest guidelines of DOE. Now air travels including domestics (including LTC) and international can be made from private airlines also and tickets should be made from the 3 specified agencies only.

 CBIC (Central Board of Indirect Tax and Customs) under Ministry of Finance notified for allocation of laptops to all the Group B officers irrespective of their posting vide F.No. DOL/log/1/1/2020-AS-DOL-DELHI-part(2) Dated 07.03.2022. This is one of the long pending of the staffs association of CBIC in comparison to CBDT.   So, all the staffs under CBIC of group B can apply with a declaration that he or she didn't received any such laptop from the Department in the last 5(five) years.

CBIC (Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs ) finally invites tender for supply of 2000 SIM Cards for its Offices. The supply of Mobile Phone expenses as similar to CBDT officers had been demanding by the various staff Associations under CBIC long back. But as per the source and tender details, it is not sure whether these 2000 SIM cards will be issued to which level officers and offices. Regional Units of Inspectors Association of CGST are in Lunch Hour protest today 13 th of March 2019 against the Suspension of two Inspectors viz, Akant Solanki and Kapil Kumar of CGST Agra Commissionerate, Uttar Pradesh. The suspension of the said officers are on the ground of Non-obedience of Higher Authorities instruction to wear Uniform as instructed but as per the contention, the Uniforms are no more prescribed in the present regime of GST.

The normal contributions are under NPS Tier -I and Tier -II is optional as per the rule. Saving upto Rs. 50000 are allowed under Section 80 CCD(1B) for tax saving upto Rs. 10000. As per the latest instruction of CBIC is in process of implementing e-office (SPARROW) for its Group B and C staffs also. This is their second step after successfully implementing for Group A (IRS) staffs SPARROW e-office. With the implementation of this e-office, there will be a smooth and more transparent functioning in APAR updating of their staffs.
